For the very latest Doctor Who News on your iPhone, iPad, Blackberry, Android and Windows Phone
Changing the world, one site at a time…
I have over 20 years experience developing software for a range of mobile and desktop platforms. Projects have included Ion Gun and X-ray control systems, wearable computer systems for the military, digitized weapon systems, battlefield command and control systems, robot navigation systems and voice recording systems.

After winning the HotUKDeals 2009 iPhone programming competition I embarked on combining my love of Doctor Who with my talent for software development and WhoNews was born. This was quickly followed by DVD Ferret a price comparison app for the iPhone which has now been developed and rebranded for a major price comparison website in the UK.

I have been asked to give presentations to industry and international audiences being a guest speaker at CeBit 2001, Mobile Computer User Group UK forum, Mobile Commerce World 2002 and IEE EuroWearable 2002.

Before turning my skills to developing applications for the iPhone, iPad and iPod touch platforms I spent over 14 years working for a top research and development defence company, designing and building cutting edge solutions for the armed forces. I left in 2006 to work for a company specialising in nano technology and surface science analysis and I currently work in the telecommunications industry.
